Panama City Shines at Earth Day Celebration 2025
ST ANDREWS, FL - Panama City was buzzing with earthy vibes last Saturday, April 19th, as the community came together to celebrate Earth Day in the most delightful way! The event was a joyful tribute to our planet, packed with educational booths that brought local ecosystems to life for kids and adults alike, held at the Farmers Market in Oaks By The Bay park.
From learning about native plants with the Florida Native Plant Society to discovering conservation projects with the Land Conservancy of NW Florida, there was something for everyone. The Florida Trail Association shared tips on exploring nature trails, while Baywatch and the St. Andrew and St. Joseph Estuary Program at FSU dove into the wonders of our local waters. The Florida Fish and Wildlife team brought fascinating facts about animals, and who could resist a photo with Smokey the Bear? He was the star of the show, spreading smiles and wildfire prevention tips!
Families strolled through the booths, soaking in knowledge about plants, animals, and how to protect our beautiful environment. The energy was infectious, with laughter and curiosity filling the air. Panama City’s Earth Day celebration was a perfect blend of fun and learning, reminding us all to cherish and care for our planet. Here’s to more eco-friendly adventures in 2025!
