BAY COUNTY, FL – On July 11, 2025, Bay County Sheriff Tommy Ford announced the arrest of Daydrian Lipford, age 44, a civilian employee at the Bay County Sheriff’s Office Jail Facility. Lipford was arrested and his employment terminated this morning.
On July 8, 2025, a small baggie of a white crystal substance was found on the floor in a hallway at the Bay County Jail Facility. An investigation was conducted by inspectors employed by the BCSO.
Investigation revealed the baggie contained .4 grams of methamphetamine and was dropped by Daydrian Lipford as he was leaving the building and was picked up by another employee moments later. This employee immediately turned the baggie in to supervisors.
During an interview, Lipford stated to inspectors at the Bay County Jail Facility that the methamphetamine in the baggie belonged to him. A search of Lipford’s vehicles did not turn up any additional narcotics. All evidence indicates that Lipford had the meth for personal use. Lipford was a part-time civilian employee until March 1, 2025, when he went full-time. Lipford had very limited contact with inmates.
Lipford has been charged with the Introduction of Contraband.
