Opinion: A Short Dive Into Religious Differences
BAY COUNTY, FL – Before I get into my topic, let me offer sincere condolences to the family of Charlie Kirk, and to those who knew and loved him. Often times, events like this can bring folks together in love and compassion as nothing else ever could. May we now observe and apply his own wisdom of love, peace, common sense, and faith to our troubled nation with healing results. In spite of all, or because of all, let us love our neighbor as we love ourselves.
My intent in this article is to illustrate the futile nature of violent religious fanaticism.
The first five books in the Old Testament of the Christian Bible, The Torah of the Tribe of Judah, and the Koran (Quran) are the same text. Those books cover Creation, the first 1,656 years of created man's inhabitance of this earth, The Flood of Noah, the reinhabiting of the earth, the Tower of Babel, The Dividing of the Earth, the Reduction of longevity of life, The Rise of the Land of Ham... Egypt, The Abrahamic Covenant, The rise of the Hebrew People through growth, bondage, deliverance and Lawgiving.
During the years following the flood, the earth blossomed. Fertile soil and plentiful water gave birth to peaceful, agricultural societies. Within 350 years, Abraham appears and establishes a covenant with God, and Egypt is already a great nation. Abraham originates from Syria and is the father of the Hebrew through Jacob/Israel, the father of Edomites through Esau, the father of the Arab through Ishmael, the Ammonites and Moabites are descended from Lot, Abraham's nephew.
The Arab is Islam honoring Allah, Judaism honors The Great I AM, Elohim, and Christians Honor Elohim's Son, Jesus Christ, the Great Jehovah. Ironically, the foundations of Judaism, Islam, and Christianity are identical.
Now for a little critical thinking: let's consider Islam's Allah and Judeo/Christian Elohim. Let's drop the "im" from "Eloh." Is it too far-fetched to posit that these sounds only differ due to differences in the evolution of languages? Two syllables, two different languages. All three religions share Identical history up to the Exodus from Egypt. Christians believe that Jehovah is the Son of God, the God of Creation, the God of the Torah, and the Koran. Islam and Judah do not, but both of these non-Christian religions highly honor Jehovah. Both believe he was a great prophet. And it's necessary to remember that Jesus taught out of Hebrew Law which is identical to the Koran. From my study of the efforts of the Savior, He fulfilled the Law of Sacrifice, introduced forgiveness to replace "an eye for an eye." He charged us to keep our minds clean and supported all his teaching with Hebrew Law. He quoted Hebrew law to the leadership of the Jews and told them they didn't know their own law. He taught Hebrew Law.
Given this understanding, why all the wars and violence occurring today?
