* Commission PRAC Report Workshop: On Monday, July 6, the City Commission will hold a live workshop at City Hall to review the Parks & Recreation Advisory Committee (PRAC) Report and discuss next steps for the City’s park system. Public viewing will be available in Room 010 at City Hall; however, public participation will not be included in this workshop. It will also be streamed live on the City website and available to watch on YouTube afterward. 

** Budget Workshop: Another Pre-Budget Planning & Priorities Workshop will take place on Thursday, July 9. This workshop gives the Commission and City staff an opportunity to meet early in the Fiscal Year 2027 budget process to discuss direction and priorities. The meeting will be held from 1:00 PM to 4:30 PM in Room 010 at City Hall. It will also be streamed live on the City website and available to watch on YouTube afterward.

  • JULY 2: CELEBRATE AMERICA & THE MEMORIAL TRAIL
Join us on Thursday, July 2, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at Bay Memorial Park for an afternoon of patriotism, community, and fun as we celebrate America's upcoming 250th anniversary while unveiling exciting plans for the future of the Memorial Trail.   • JULY 4: SALUTE TO FREEDOM FESTIVAL
The July 4th Salute Freedom festival returns to historic downtown Panama City on Saturday, July 4, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 9:30 PM. The community is invited to the Panama City Marina for an afternoon of patriotic family fun to celebrate the 250 years since the founding of our great nation. The evening’s highlight will be a spectacular fireworks display commencing at 9:00 PM. This event is free and open to the public.   • JULY 14: MILLVILLE WATERFRONT PARK RIBBON-CUTTING EVENT
Millville Waterfront Park is officially reopening with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Tuesday, July 14 at 4 PM. Community members are invited to join neighbors, local leaders, and City staff as we celebrate the park’s refreshed look, enhanced amenities, and our continued investment in public spaces.   • JULY 16: SMALL DEVELOPER MEETUPS
The Panama City CRA and the Incremental Development Alliance are hosting monthly Small Developer Meetups to help new and aspiring developers learn and connect. Sessions take place on the third Tuesday of each month through September at My Space Downtown (97 Oak Ave), starting at 5:30 PM. The next meeting is Tuesday, July 21.   • SUMMER PROGRAMS AT THE MLK JR. RECREATION CENTER
Summer fun is still rolling out this July at the MLK Jr. Recreation Center! From creative adventures to active outdoor fun, there’s something for every youth to enjoy. Registration is open, and many programs offer scholarships.

  • DREAM BUILDERS FUN FRIDAYS
Fun Fridays at MLK are back for Summer! Join us every Friday from 3–5 PM for Fun Fridays, our summer version of the Dream Builders youth program.
